Treating your fabrics, furniture, carpets & rugs with a fabric protection formula will significantly reduce the danger of permanent staining from accidents & spills, and also make the treated areas much easier to clean!
A proper treatment will help extend the life of your fabric upholstery & carpets :)
How Does It Work?
Utilising advanced Fluoropolymer technology, our water-based fabric protection formula bonds to the fabric fibres, putting an invisible high-repellency barrier to soil and stain penetration. This results in spillages being able to be extracted & cleaned off much more easily - leaving the area clean and fresh :)
We apply it using a spray applicator, treating all areas of the upholstery, carpet or rug. It takes around 4 to 6 hours to dry & cure, depending on temperature, humidity, fibre density and rate of application.
It is an air-cured product, which reaches a high level of stain repellency when it dries and then continues to develop more repellency over the following weeks. If possible, the surface should be left to dry for 24 hours before use.
The high repellency provided by the treatment can enable liquid spills to be extracted before a stain occurs.

Our process
It’s useful to follow the process end to end - as this gives the absolute best results! Skipping steps means potentially a subpar result!
Please note*
We really recommend a deep clean or the upholstery or carpets immediately prior to a fabric protection treatment! This ensures a clean surface for application, and increases effectiveness of the treatment.
Brush & Vac
To start, we brush using our specialist fabric & upholstery brush. This helps loosen easy to remove dirt, hair, soiling and dried-on elements (food/drink etc). Then we vacuum up the loose particles. We do this so large, loose items and crumbs are removed.
We normally remove any unfixed cushions, and tackle the sofa or chair base first.
Application
We use a commercial spray applicator gun to apply a fine, even mist of fabric protection to the fabric or carpet fibres. A number of passes will be used in order to ensure full and effective coverage.
Our techs work in a systematic fashion - normally starting with the base, then moving to cushions. We work left to right (personal preference), to ensure we don’t miss any spots!
Remember the unseen areas! In-between cushions sometimes get forgotten, and spills tend to head there, and we pay particular attention to the heavy traffic areas - armrests, main cushions, and headrests.
Brush & Air-dry
After a full application of the treatment, we re-brush the fabric to smooth & separate the fibres and assist in airflow & drying.
Finally we prop up & set the cushions in a tent-like fashion for effective air-drying. This helps the most amount of surfaces in contact with the air. Fabric to fabric contact will slow the drying process for that zone.
It’s important to allow the fabric to fully dry out before reassembling the sofa! Circulating air is best! Not direct sun. A nice through-draft will really help :)
